Prayer is the way we open our hearts to God our Father and let Him enter - resulting in a personal relationship with Him.
“Come near to God and He will come near to you…” James 4:8 NIV
We believe prayer is the power by which the church should do its work, therefore we are striving for everything we do to be saturated with prayer.
Jesus said, “…My house will be a house of prayer…” Luke 19:46 NIV
One thing that brings joy to those who are a part of our prayer ministry is the opportunity to remember others as well as our church in prayer. The Harvest does this in a number of ways:
- “The Guard” – A group who prays for our pastor, Jeff McDowell
Coordinator: Todd Miller
- Our Prayer Room – On Sundays, someone is praying for our worship service while it is in progress.
Coordinator: Cathy Range
- The Intercessory Prayer Team – When you hand in a prayer request, every day someone is praying for that request.
Coordinator: Linda Martin
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5: 14 NIV
This fall we will be starting a Sunday morning Life Group on Prayer. Coordinator: Bac Vu
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” NIV
