In all my prayers for all of you,
I always pray with joy
because of your partnership in the gospel
from the first day until now.
Philippians 1:4-5
Overview of our Prayer Ministry
We believe prayer is the power by which the church should do its work, therefore we are striving for everything we do to be saturated with prayer. Jesus said, “…My house will be a house of prayer…” Luke 19:46 NIV
One thing that brings joy to those who are a part of our prayer ministry is the opportunity to remember others as well as our church in prayer. The Harvest does this in a number of ways:
- “The Guard” – A group who prays for our pastor, Jeff McDowell
- Our Prayer Room – On Sundays, someone is praying for our worship service while it is in progress.
- The Intercessory Prayer Team – When you hand in a prayer request, every day someone is praying for that request.
Overview of our Prayer Room
Our Prayer Room is located behind the sanctuary; it has its own access door through the hallway. There is a prayer box in this room where you can submit confidential prayer requests. These concerns and praises, along with those submitted during the worship service, are lifted up in prayer daily by the intercessory prayer team volunteers. All prayer requests are held in strict confidence and can be made anonymously if you wish to do so.
Ladies Weekly Prayer Group
This small group meets informally to pray about everything from personal needs, family concerns, community, government, church, current events, schools etc. Prayer is a powerful way to lift up yourself and others, knowing God has heard our needs.
